Chao Li's technicians have passed several government-organized tests and certifications
to ensure an emphasis on standard and precise operations and detailed testing.
Usage Recommendations - Short Arc Xenon Lamps
- Average operating life: The average operating life represents the average number of
hours a lamp can be in continuous use at its rated power. A lamp is at the end of its
operating life when either of the following has occurred:
- The horizontal luminous intensity or total flux has dropped to 70% of its initial
value
- The lamp no longer lights up
- It is recommended that these lamps be powered by constant power supply
- Do not touch the quartz surface of the bulb. When touched accidently, remove
fingerprints or stains with an alcohol soaked cloth, otherwise they weaken the quartz surface and may cause an explosion.
- Make sure the lamp/bulb is free from mechanical stress.
- Lower Current: For the best results, we recommend using a lower current than the rated
value. This will result in the bulb having a longer operating life.
- Flicker: When flickering is observed, do the following:
- Increase the current to the rated value. Operate the bulb for 1/2 hour. Decrease
current to the normal operation setting.
- Rotate the bulb 90-180 degrees.
- Fix the bulb at one end only. It must be free to expand during operation so as to prevent
mechanical failure.

Cooling conditions should be adjusted properly so that the base surface temperature is kept
below 200 degrees centigrade and at the same time mercury is completely evaporated
D1 does not include the height of the chip.
It is recommended that these lamps be powered by constant power supply.
